I removed my device but forgot to erase it.

my iPhone is broken and won't turn on. I thought by removing the device from find my iPhone would be enough for when I send it in to get a different phone but can they still access my info if the iPhone isn't erased from find my iPhone?

Hi jarrrr37,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you removed the device from Find My iPhone, but you did not erase the device. This would remove Activation Lock, but not remove the data from the iPhone.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Please don't hesitate to let us know if the steps resolved your issue or if you need additional assistance.

Cheers.
