I change my name to my personal name. A few hours later, the name reverts back to the serial number. So I change it again, and it holds for a few hours, then reverts back. I have done this both on the phone and on Itunes with no luck.

It is a company phone, but I received it new and should not have other profiles on it except mine. I did transfer my data from my old company phone when I upgraded. Will this cause an issue?
How do I know which app carries the configuration profile? My old iPhone 6 did not have this issue. I am with the same company and the same apps loaded.

Thanks for the response. If the device does belong to your company, it is unlikely you would be able to remove the profile, as this would cause certain features deployed by your company to not function.

Restoring a backup from your previous iPhone would not cause the issue you are describing. Please reach out to your company's tech department for further clarification.
