I want to have a the patch list from my proteus 2000 in Logic Pro X I've sent it to logic yet it doesn't appear anywhere. How do I do set up Logic to receive syses data from an external midi source and where would I find the data in Logic once it has been sent??
It's been about 20 years since I've done that, but I believe if you record it to a midi track it should draw a region in the arrangement like any other midi recording. Then you can open it in the event list like any other midi region.
Just for clarification, sysex are the parameters the proteus uses to create the sound, it is not a patch list. Patch changes are control change (CC) commands. Getting the names in Logic is **** if you're new to Logic and the Environment.

Thanks for the quick response!!! How does one go about inserting the patch names into Logic so I can click on the patch name and logic will send the CC message to the proteus and have it play that patch??
