Texts on phone not showing up on Messages, on my Mac

I can see all texts between me and my wife, on my phone. Why can I only see a few on messages when I search her name on my MacBook Pro?

Do you have your iPhone set to text message forward to your MacBook Pro?

Look in Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding.

Does your wife have an iPhone or some other brand?

If it is not an iPhone, then texts sent are SMS, not iMessage, so they would not appear unless you have Text Message Forwarding turned on.
