Apple TV is no good

I got Apple TV + but still have to pay for everything good to watch. Why? Unless it’s a shorty show it’s free to watch

tv+ subscription is for Apple original content only.

Movies and tv shows from iTunes Store can be rented or bought as usual.

Surely I’m not the only one that thinks having to pay for Apple TV the show you want to watch is abit much ? Correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve only just gotten Apple TV so I am new to it all but surely that’s not right having to pay a monthly subscription + whatever shows you choose to watch ?
