Broken home button. Disabled iPad

Based on Apple Support's instructions, I need to press and hold the home button until I see the recovery mode screen, but my home button's broken (ie if i click it my iPad doesnt open, it only does so when i click the power button). I can't use the instructions for iPad's without home button, because holding the top button just reopend the device. So, what can I do to open my disabled iPad? (I can't go out to have it fixed because of quarantine)
