Background

When I link my MacBook to a HDMI monitor, the wallpaper of the MacBook and the monitor are different. is there any way to fix this?

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.15

in system preferences you can choose desktop and screensavers and set wall paper on your various display as you see fit. Change the desktop picture (background) on your Mac - Apple Support

one dialog will appear on each display
