Screen on imac
Computer opens to half the screen is black and the other is the login screen. Unfortunately bottom is where my login is and cannot see it

Try restarting in Safe Mode Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac and then restart normally and test. If the issue continues please send us attach a screen shot of the problem. Your description is a first.
