Can't load custom ringtones since iTunes went away

I've had Ringtone Designer Pro for about 10 years now (roughly). I used it quite a lot in the past.

After a recent reset of my phone I wanted to create new ringtones but have no idea how to get them onto my phone since iTunes disappeared. Does anyone know how to load custom ringtones onto our iPhones? Or has that option just disappeared now?

If there is no option for doing this any longer why would they still sell the app in the App Store? Seems fraudulent to me unless they are selling still to people not using upgraded software.

Thanks!

Hey there, wgregb.

Thank you for consulting the Apple Support Communities. Using custom ringtones is a great way to personalize your device, so we can understand why you want to get to the bottom of this.

“Use a custom ringtone

If you created a custom ringtone in an app, like Garageband, you can sync it to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes for Windows or the Finder on a Mac.

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer.
  2. On a PC, open iTunes for Windows. On a Mac, open the Finder.
  3. Drag and drop the ringtone to your device.” Use tones and ringtones with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

We hope this helps! Don’t hesitate to reach back out if you have further questions.

All the best.
