Compressor crashes, on new MacBook Pro 2020. Any idea why?

I keep submitting a Compressor project from Final Cut. All up to date and a nice new machine plenty of memory, etc.

settings are at 1080p, nothing crazy, a YouTube video. I keep having to force quit and now, video processing again when I open Compressor. Waiting forever for this to rip.

I’ve tried all manner of settings and configurations. Largely the same frustrating results of Compressor not responding.

only app running except finder.

does Apple provide in person support for FCP?

Thank you I will try that! I am new to this!

Funny thing is after I posted this, I tried to "share out" from FCP and got the desired video I needed. Good quality rip, uploading to my social accounts now. So my lesson is to bypass Compressor for now.

I hope this gets fixed. Will reset prefs.

1.6 tb free

2020 Catalina all up to date

2.3 g quad

32 gig ram

xporting to desktop with a 1080p video setting for YouTube 8000 bits

Huge number of threads with many messages about problems running FCP with the 2020 13" MBP. Lots of spinning beachballs and force quits.

Reset your preferences holding Opt-Cmd as you launch the application. Try exporting a master file directly from FCP and see if that works.

Which MBP?

Are you sending to Compressor or using a Compressor setting?

What are the complete computer specs? What drive are you exporting to? How much free space on export drive and system drive?

There was a post that said this might be fixed in the macOS 10.15.6 update. Have you tried that?

I did download the update before submitting this thread. But I will try it on my next project for sure! I hope it is fixed. Will report back!
