apple tv setup

Is there a way to set up Apple TV HD on your standard Sony Flat Screen, with the rectangle and cup looking plug openings on side and back, also have headphone jack type plug openings, the way you have a fire stick or Roku stick plugged in to JUST the tv and using wi-fi, or must you plug the power cord into an outlet? My TV is very far from an outlet, and don't want all the visible cords. If this isn't possible, not going to use the Apple TV box and remote and keep what I have, but would prefer Apple. Thank you.

The Apple TV set-to box will require its own power source from an outlet.

(The Roku stick also requires a power cable, although that power may come from a TV USB port. Other Roku models may require more power, and need to connect to an outlet. The Fire TV stick also requires a power cable, although that power may come from a TV USB port. Other Fire TV devices may require more power, and need to connect to an outlet.)

Consider a multi outlet extension cord.
