What is error (75)?

I tried to perform software update through Itunes. Anyways, my phone locked onto the recovery mode screen and refused to do anything else. I ensured Itunes was up to date and all other items such as Java, OneDrive, etc were up to date. Now it recognizes the phone being logged into Itunes but once it gets to apple screen and saying verifying with Apple, it locks and states unexpected error occurred (75). I have tried to reset it as instructions but have no success. I don't want to lose my pictures or my music so I'm a little frustrated at this point because it says I have to reset to factory settings. So, what now?

Hello AJGARDNER126,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're experiencing an error message when attempting to update your iPhone. We are happy to share information that may help.

Check out the steps in this article: If you see an error when you update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. You may also want to try a different cable to connect to your computer. If you're still unable to update, you may want to try a different computer.

If you have a backup created through iCloud or your computer, you can move your information back to your iPhone from the backup: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup.

Also, if you had iCloud Photos enabled, your photos could be redownloaded, even if you need to restore your iPhone: Set up and use iCloud Photos.

Take care.
