I am not able to edit my own answer unfortunately.
Stupid me ... the monitor has 4 USB-A ports, two on the bottom and two on the left side, I missed the sided ones.
So ... quite happy about he solution.
So I had to discover myself :D
Many thanks to HP After Sale support in Milan/Italy that replied to my questions.
Turns out that nobody cares to perform intra-vendors tests (makes sense) but they guaranteed me that according to Italian law if you order something (whatever) you have 14 days to give it back for any reason even you just changed your mind.
So I took my risk and bought both monitor and soudbar.
Works like a charm with MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018), webcam as well and soundbar also.
The only bad news: you have only two USB-A ports, meaning:
Nevermind, luckly I had a small passive USB-HUB where I connected keyboard and mouse to release one port for the soundbar.
From my perspective HP could provide at least 4 USB-A ports instead of 2.
If you are using an Apple low-power mouse, you can connect it to the keyboard using one of the two 'Convenience" USB ports supplied on the keyboard.
Take care not to connect anything else there, as it is very easy to overdraw the supplied USB power, which can make the keyboard malfunction (type wrong key codes).
