screen cracked and iphone started doing weird stuff , repeatedly typing passcode into phone until it disabled itself , new screen fitted and still disabled , connected to itunes to fix but still can't enable phone .

Was the screen replaced by Apple or an Apple authorized service center? Did you try this: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306
