Why won’t the song I selected for alarm sound play?

When I schedule an alarm and chose a song instead of an alert sound, the default sound plays instead of the song any time I schedule an alarm.

The sound when my alarm goes off doesn’t change I tried setting different songs from my apple music library to my alarm sound but when it goes off it’s still the default (radar) sound. There’s a tick next to the song that i chose, so it MUST play this song but it just doesn’t. How can i solve this problem?

Alarm Sound with Apple Music When setting an alarm, there is the option in the Sounds menu that lets you choose any song from your Apple Music library. After setting the song (the song title appears in the "edit alarm" menu), it does not play when the alarm rings. Rather, the default Radar sound plays, which is very unpleasant. If I choose any pre-installed tone from the menu like Apex, it works. Note: My Apple Music subscription is active and renews every month, so it shouldn't be my subscription causing the problem.

Songs need to be on your iPhone not on iCloud.
