Call quality issue (Life proof case?)

I recently purchased a iPhone 11and am experiencing call quality issues. People I call say that they have difficulty hearing me or can’t hear me at all. I have been hung up on twice in past two days because of it. I did not have the same issue with my old pone (iPhone 6s). I am using the same service provider and have a life proof fre case. I used a life proof case with my old phone but did not experience any quality issues. These incidents have occurred in locations where I do not suspect low signal strength with myself or the person I was talking to. This problem seems to be sporadic. Can’t quite figure it out.
