When I open iBooks on iPad, it's as if it's frozen

I just got the new iPad 7th Generation. When I open iBooks, it's as if it's frozen. I see the cover of the current book I'm reading, but I can't turn any pages or see any menu bar.


Any suggestions?

Try using the steps listed in: Restart iPad - Apple Support. Use the "Force Restart" procedure if the "Restart" is unsuccessful in resolving the problem.
