my Siri is not working on Apple TV - I see the AppleTv light go off when I push the Siri button

Siri on Apple TV is available in select countries for select languages. Verify if that matches your situation. It won’t work for other countries or other languages. Additionally, Siri has an On|Off switch in Settings. Use Siri on your Apple TV - Apple Support
Even for unsupported regions and languages, the Siri button should still open the Search app.
