iPhone 7 & Acura TLX CarPlay
I have an iPhone 7 (iOS 13.5.1) and an Acura TLX. Since I have had the new Acura (the first TLX with CarPlay), I have never had consistent service. This despite, getting Acura to reinstall a new Infotainment centre and using my phone with a TLX loaner, the problem persists. Therefore, there is a problem with the phone and/or CarPlay.

Therefore, I would like to know if Apple is doing anything about this issue. I want to upgrade to the iPhone 11 Pro, but cannot invest if the problem persists. Ideally, I don't have to do that since I have MacBook Airs and iPad Pro.
The only fix is turning my car on and off, which is not possible do on all drives. Many times, I have had to turn my phone off and on, or just disconnect and avoid using CarPlay.
