can imac 21.5inch late 2009 take 41600 ddr3 rams

Can iMac 21.5 inch late 2009 take 4gb 1600 ddr3 rams and also will it improve if I change the hard drive to ssd?

According to OWC & Mactracker a Late 2009 21.5" can use up to 4 x 4.0GB PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz 204 Pin modules.

Can you be more specific regarding "improve?"

If you are looking to improve speed, adding RAM will not make an "oh-my-gosh" difference in apparent speed. Converting to an SSD will make that sort of difference.
