Hazy spot on macbook pro mid 2012 screen

About a month ago a tiny hazy spot started to appear on the screen of my mid 2012 macbook pro version 10.14.1 and now it’s gotten bigger. Changing the display color did nothing. I mostly use it for video editing and drawing using wacom. Is this a software or hardware problem? Anybody ever had this problem before? Please help!

My Macbook Pro (m1 2020) has 2 brighter spots than the rest of the screen I recently discovered this about 2-3 weeks ago, didn't mind it much as I was busy and couldn't care about it at the time, however, now as I am free, its bugging me a lot especially on lighter colored apps such as google with a white background. Even while writing this I discovered 2 bright spots on the display. All my macbook has is the limited warranty, funnily enough, till feb 23 this year. Is there a possibility for them to fix this at no extra cost? It is not as obvious on darker areas of the screen, when something is darker or just not a white background it tends to blend in more and not be as obvious.

What causes the orange spot on the screen? My MacBook Pro 13 inch just got an orange spot on the screen. It's odd because I have been using it all day doing work on my campus. I got home and started using it again and about an hour later the orange spot appears. I haven't had this spot before and when I push on it kind of disappears but then comes back. I've had this laptop for about three years and I'm not sure what is causing this issue, but I'm not looking forward to paying to get this fixed. Has anyone else experienced this and know why this happens?

Please check if you have the same issue in safe mode.

Also you can run Apple diagnostics test and see if you have any hardware issue.
