I clicked on the link in the following SMS (Get Adobe Scan at https://adobe.ly/getscan; use your phone camera to turn anything into a PDF on the go and downloaded the software. I’ve since deleted the App but am concerned that my data might be compromised
iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware by merely clicking on a link in Safari, unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious softwares or unauthorised apps directly from internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.
It (Hacking) also depends on how careful are you in sharing sensitive and valuable informations of your iPhone such as Passcode, Password etc with your friends and family members.

thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I did one of the things you listed under “unless ...”! I downloaded an unauthorised app directly from the SMS and installed it on my iPhone!
