Syncing Documents Folders

I have three Mac computers and I am saving the Documents Folders to iCloud. As a result, each machine can see all of the Documents Folders in Finder.

Is it possible to have one Mac that does not show the 2 other Mac's Documents Folders in Finder? I would like to remove them.

How can I share a single Documents folder between two Macs via iCloud? I currently have two Macs that I want to have the exact same information in their Documents folders. I thought I could share them via iCloud and have them sync'd, similar to how I might do this via other cloud drive services. But it appears iCloud creates a separate Documents folder for each Mac. What happens to documents and desktop folders with iCloud? I want to use iCloud to share documents between all my apple devices, so I checked "documents and decktop folders" in System preferences>Apple ID>iCloud Drive>Options button. I got a message that my folders had been duplicated(?). And I don't see the folders now in my User folder. Apparently they are stored only on the iCloud drive. I saw an article from MacWorld 2018 (below) that says that all the files on my desktop and documents folder are only available on iCloud, so that if I don't have internet access, or I lose iCloud account, the documents will be lost!? I want all my desktop and documents folders and documents available on my hard drive, with or without internet access. Will iCloud do this, or should I use another app? Syncing of three Macs is active you don't need to uncheck the box of desktop and documents , rather in the desired Mac open finder in iCloud section > Documents , right click on the document and remove from side bar the folder will be also invisible , you don't need to delete the folder .

Disable Desktop & Documents on the Mac you don't want seeing the others.
