I have followed the known reset holding the power and volume down then plug into Mac for restore and/or update
That did not fix anything
Just wanted to clarify one thing.. you said that you followed the 'known reset' by holding your power and volume down button. This is not the correct procedure for doing a hard reset on an iPhone X.
Review this and try doing your hard reset.
