Hello, i was caught in the rain and now my iPhone XS Max is not working. The screen will come on but it does not react to anything that i push. I am aware that these phones are "waterproof" so unsure how rain can do so much damage. Can you please help me with getting my iPhone to work again?

Water damage can not be repaired and the device must be replaced.
But the device is supposed to go underwater for like 4 meters and for 30 minutes.
If the device is taking damage from rain... I think it is a problem with the device and should be replaced by apple if they still have warranty on it.

No iPhone has ever been made waterproof.

The phone can go several meters into water and described as “splash proof“ so I was surprised to see such damage from rain. I am asking for advice on how to fix my iPhone not anyone’s unprofessional opinion!
The device has liquid detectors built in and if they have been triggered no repair attempt will be made.
Nope. That's not how it works and water damage is not covered by the standard warranty.
