Don't know my mom's apple id to unlock her phone

I'm trying to trade in my mom's phone and it's locked. I don't know how to unlock it without knowing her iCloud information

Have you asked your mom for her ID and password?

See if she can recover the ID/password.

Apple ID - How to find your Apple An iCloud e-mail address is an Apple ID.

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.

You won't be able to unlock it if you have no iCloud/Apple ID information.

Thank you for your replies. I cant get her info. She passed away in May. I did call Apple support and they told me the process I need to do.
