I put in my iCloud password but I forgot it. It’s been a couple of months and my account has been disabled. I thought maybe it I changed my iCloud email it would go back to normal. But I still have the same issue.

What should I do about this problem?

See If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306

The instructions are essentially the same for an iPad and iPod touches. “If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you’ll see a message that your device is disabled. If you can’t remember your passcode, you'll need to erase your iPhone, which deletes your data and settings, including the passcode.”

If you backed up your iPhone, you can restore your data and settings after restoring your iPhone. If you never backed up your iPhone before you forgot your passcode, you won't be able to save the data on your iPhone. Follow the steps below to remove your passcode.”

Next, remove your passcode (see the document for the steps). Then, restore you phone of your computer (see the document for the steps).

“If you can't update or restore your iPhone using recovery mode, or you can't use recovery mode because of broken or stuck buttons, contact Apple Support. Then follow the steps to set up service for your iPhone.”

Aso see If your Apple ID is locked or disabled https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204106 "If you or someone else enters your password, security questions, or other account information incorrectly too many times, your Apple ID automatically locks to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services.

If you use two-factor authentication, you need a trusted device or trusted phone number to reset your Apple ID password and unlock your account. If you have a recovery key, you can also use it to help you regain access to your account. …

If you use security questions with your Apple ID, or if you don't have access to a trusted device or phone number, go to iforgot.apple.com. Then you can unlock your account with your existing password or reset your password. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to unlock your account, your Apple ID will remain locked and you can try again the next day.” Eventually you will be able to enter account recovery.

So, see Recover your Apple ID when you can’t reset your password https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204921.  Read the whole document carefully.
