Music app truncating songs

Many have had this same issue and it was a common problem with iTunes (see this previous thread), where a song would play and then skip to the next track randomly. There seemed to be a workaround where if you started a track for only a second, then re-imported the track into iTunes, it would fix the issue. Someone named megabulk created a script for this over on GitHub that I was using for iTunes. I've recently updated to Catalina and now that the iTunes app doesn't exist, I'm having the same issue, but with the Music app now. The script of course doesn't work now that iTunes doesn't exist. Does someone have a more permanent fix for this? Or can someone potentially update the script created by megabulk to fix this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this affects nearly half of what I import into my library.

I've not dug deep or attempted to run it, but if you open the script with Script Editor and change this line:

tell application "iTunes"

to

tell application "Music"

then the script will compile, and presumably it would work as it did in iTunes.
