How do you print directions from Apple Maps?

Hello rjcarter and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It appears you are trying to print directions generated by the Maps app on an iPhone.

Use Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Under the heading in that article called "Get directions," you'll need to insert an extra step.

After selecting your route (step 3), instead of tapping Go as outlined in step 4, tap anywhere to the left og the Go button.

This will bring up a screen with a list of the turn-by-turn directions for the entire route. In the bottom left corner, tap Share and then Print.
