Hi All! I'm running out of space on my disk and literally have thousands of downloads. The important ones I have saved to a file on my desktop. Is it safe to delete the downloaded files without deleting those I have saved to my desktop? Also, what about deleting .DMG files for Applications like Microsoft Word etc. Shall I keep those?

Deleting files in your Downloads folder that you have already saved (copied) elsewhere will have no effect on those saved files.

Once installed you should delete all .dmg There is no further use for them.
