Location settings

Ok first off, if your location settings are turned off, how can someone still see your location?!

Second, is there a way other than using your iPad to change your phone location from your actual location?! I see they have junk apps that you’re supposed to be able to make your phone location be one place when you’re actually somewhere else. The iPad literally says sharing iPad location. I’m needing to change the phone location without anyone knowing my actual location.

Third, I tried to forward my phone to another phone for FaceTime but FaceTime doesn’t work in call forwarding with the *72 option. Is there a way to do that?!

Thanks!

No, you can only switch it location OFF.

Your carrier is alway tracking you that's why you can use your mobile phone to make calls in any location.

Are you are using Family Sharing?

Do you share your location?

  • Share My Location: You can choose to share your current location with others, on a temporary or ongoing basis, from within certain apps such as Messages and Find My.
  • You can disable Location Services at any time. To do so, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, and either turn off the global Location Services switch or turn off the individual location switch of each location-aware app or feature by setting it to “Never”. To disable Location Services for all websites, set the Location Services setting for Safari to “Never”. You can also disable location-based system services by tapping on System Services and turning off each location-based system service. You can disable Location Services for your HomePod at any time in the HomePod settings in the Home app on your paired iOS or iPadOS device.

Choose when to share

Family Sharing lets you decide whether or not you share your location with your family.

To see if you're sharing, follow these steps:

    • Tap Settings > [your name].If you use iOS 11, tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
  1. Tap Share My Location.
  2. Tap [family member name] to share with that person.
  • To stop sharing your location, turn off Share My Location. This hides your location from all of your family members and your approved friends. And when you're ready to share your location again, you can turn it back on at any time.

Choose which device to share your location from

By default, the device that you used to sign in to Family Sharing is the one that shares your location. If you want to share your location from a different device:

  1. Tap Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap Family Sharing > Location Sharing.
  3. Tap Share My Location > From.
  4. Select the device that you want to share from.

Please read the docs yourself, I have enough quoting.
