workaround for unresponsive blue text arrow

About a month ago I knocked my iphone x off the counter. There is a crack from the left side to near the bottom right. Until a week ago it worked fine; however, there is now a lack of responsiveness on the far right edge of the screen. I noticed when I could no longer type the letter "P" or hit the blue send button for texts.

The "P" was an easy fix with the left one handed keyboard. I have yet to find a solution, short of dictating texts via siri or using my apple watch, to send messages. Maybe one out of every four times it will send if I lightly and rapidly tap. More often, hitting the blue button brings up the "Select/Select All" option.

So far, I have been unable to find this particular issue addressed anywhere. I am curious if there is an alternative way to send text, perhaps among the accessibility options.

I've had the phone since January of 2018. I know it's very likely I will need a new one soon. If the Apple Store were open, I probably already would.

Please advise me if there is a way to move the blue arrow, or use another setting or shortcut to regain the ability to send text messages.

Thank you.

iPhone X, iOS 13

Hi, welcome to the Apple Users Community.

Until you can get your phone fixed or get a new one, try rotating the phone when you want to hit the send arrow, when portrait the arrow is in the center right of the screen, When the speaker/camera/top is to the right the arrow moves middle right, when turned do the bottom/mic end of the phone is right, the arrow is middle right, I'm guessing that's where your crack/unresponsive area is.

Best of luck
