Error code 301014 for HomePod

I was really looking forward to using my new HomePod, but now I can’t even use it because I’m getting a error code (301014) every time. Instead of Siri talking to me at the end of the setup process, it prompts me to sign in to my Apple ID. So I put in my password and it tells me that Apple can’t verify at the moment for me to try again. I have done this multiple times already. I just want to use this wonderful speaker. Please help or reach out to me.
