Ipad pro and rode mic.

i have a 2020 ipad pro, and i want to connect a rode wireless go mic to conduct live meetings on zoom. i have had to buy a usb-c connector to connect the ipad to the mic via their connector lead which has a jack plug on it. when i put the c connector into the ipad port, it mutes all other people in the meeting and has also started to freeze the video up. anyone else experiencing this please.
