Scanning Problems

I recently upgraded to Catalina. Now my epson scanners will not work.

I have a v600 photo scanner and a xp-4100 all in one. I downloaded all the latest epson scanning software, and a new event manager. I can do a hack scan through Image capture on my v600, but there is literally no control over the scan.

Any help? I am very frustrated. I need scanning for work, and this is just a miserable mess.

If you have downloaded and installed the Oct 2019 ICA scanner driver for Image Capture, and the Jan 2020 scanner driver and Utility software, then you are done with Epson (for now). One alternative that may provide you with better scan control outside of Image Capture is to use the paid, 64-bit VueScan Professional product. If you scroll to the bottom of that link, you will see the VueScan support summary for the V600.

VueScan requires current Epson Perfection V600 drivers to support this device. The trial version of VueScan may or may not support all scanner features (just so you keep that in mind). You should also verify with Epson that they plan to support this scanner model in Big Sur (macOS 11) before you attempt any future upgrade.
