Apple ID locked can't access icloud because ID is locked

I have an iPad that got locked I don't know how(my niece was playing with it).When I tried to unlock the device I can't do it because the message is sending to my icloud(that is locked) and I can't access cause it's locked.

Agree with Eric. Sounds like it’s activation locked to someone’s Apple ID, so if you don’t have access to that Apple ID to be able to disable activation lock, then your only other option is to provide Apple the receipt, proving the purchase of the device. If they can validate your receipt, they may be able remove activation lock from the device. Hope it works out!

Agree with Eric. If this is a used device, you need to be able to contact the previous owner to have them log out of iCloud or go to https://www.icloud.com/find/ My Phone and erase the device, then remove it from their account. If you can’t do that, the device is useless. Apple won't unlock it.


Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support.      ≤


If you are the original owner, contact Apple. Apple can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
