iphone is disabled, try again in 5 minutes

My wife and I were out walking today and as we were approaching home she tried to use the phone and the screen was displaying this message. It was in her pocket while we were walking, and it's the second time it has happened under similar circumstances. iPhone 11, 1 month old, latest iOS.

Any ideas, we speculated that it was a heat problems, but my iPhone, in my pocket, wasn't affected.

Sometimes if you have face ID setup it can open in a pocket or purse.

Then random taps are seen as attempts to unlock the phone.

Too many of these and the phone could be disabled and wiped.

Try disabling faceID then set it up again
