i have a apple TV 4th gen and i cant get it to turn on. I only see a blinking light on the device but nothing shows on my actual TV. please help we have tried plunging and unplugging and resetting with the remote but nothing works .

If a cold restart doesn’t fix it, then you may need to restore the system software. Restore your Apple TV - Apple Support
Note the requirements for powering during the restore, and that the USB cable must support data transfer (not just charging).
You might need to restore it
Please try unplugging it from power for about 2 minutes and then replug it in.
