Email Read Receipts
Is it possible to request a read receipt when sending an email from an iPad with an ‘iCloud.com’ email address?
I found something called Mailspring but am reluctant to use an external app.

The native Mail App is quite basic in its feature support. Unlike many “desktop” Mail Applications with which you may be familiar, such MS Outlook, the iOS/iPadOS Mail App does not support delivery and read receipts.
It may be worth noting that outside of corporate environments, where email policies can be both defined and enforced, most Mail receipts can be (and often are) deliberately disabled by end-users. As such, these Mail receipts have vey limited value or utility in providing reliable information as to the status of a sent Mail message.
