Trouble with restore

I have 6s with all the storage being used by Other. I did a restore, but now when I type in my Apple ID and Password, the reset phone doesn't recognize it. The message is "Verification Failed. There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server". I reset the password via PC and it still won't open on the phone. I can't get any of my old settings or information until I can log in!
