MacBook Pro 16'' :: Dock Bar Click :: Application Focus Not working

Hi,

My Current Kernel: 10.15.5 (19F101)

My Equipement: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

Attached Screens: 2x DELL u2415

In my current setup, when I've connected the 2 external monitors.

I have Application Screens that ARE NOT MINIMIZED in the Dock Bar and ARE NOT IN FOREGROUND (Visible).

Most of the time, When I click in the application icon in the Dock Bar to bring it to FOREGROUND it does not work. The current FOREGROUND windows keep active and the application that I want to bring to FOREGROUND does not switch / window is not visible.

I can only bring an application window to FOREGROUND with the keys: COMMAND+TAB to switch application.

This affects my productivity.

There is any workaround to overcome this?

Any setting that might be enabled/disabled to restrict any application or window to become active in FOREGROUNG.

( FOREGROUND = Top Most / Active )

Kindly,

Luis Teixeira

You have multiple "desktops" (a.k.a "spaces") on each screen.

You can check that using Mission Control - this can be activated with a trackpad gesture (swipe up from the bottom with three or four fingers, depending on settings; or F3; or you can assign a "hot corner" for it in System Preferences->Mission Control).

It will look like this:

If you don't want to have more than one "space" for each display, you can open Mission Control and delete the extra spaces. Any windows that were on the deleted spaces will be automatically moved.

Note that if you put an application in "Full Screen Mode", it will automatically be given its own separate space.
