Hi there - just realised the iMac is actually a 20 inch made in early 2008 - that link was only for 2010 onwards - is it still compatable and if so what cable do I need? I bought a mini display port however there is no compatable port on the iMac (please see image for the imac ports)
Thanks,
Liz
That was so fast - thank you perfect :D
No, the 2008 iMac cannot be used as an external display. The link I posted for you has all the information related to iMacs that support Target Display Mode. This was not introduced until 2009-2010.
Ok :( thanks !
