i have an iphone 11 pro max and i wanted to activate an esim on it but it keeps saying esim not supported and i did all the methods advised but it was all to no avail i spoke to an agent via chat and was told to do a restore but after doing the restore i cant restore my iphone back from my itunes as it is taking forever

I recommend that you review Apple Article - HT203271 to review all of the troubleshooting steps regarding restoring from a backup. I would continue to give it time to restore everything back from the computer.
