I see you are asking about getting "more storage on [your] phone".

First, there are two, fundamentally, separate forms of "storage" having to do with your phone:

1. The Local (device) hardware Storage. That's like an internal hard-drive (a Solid State Drive [SSD], actually).
2. The iCloud Storage (and other Cloud storage from other providers). This is a Remote or Network "drive".

Local (device) hardware Storage cannot be changed from what your device came with, when you purchased it.

iCloud Storage can be increased at any time. However, this will not, automatically, provide you with any increased Free Local Storage: such takes further action on your part.

How much iCloud Storage is available?

Look in Settings -> [Your Name] (at the top of the lefthand list) -> iCloud

With everything set appropriately, Local Storage will be kept at reasonable usage, given time. (Some things are cleared on a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly basis. Certain "deleted" files—most notably files within the Photos app—are not actually removed from your Local Storage for 30 days, in order to give you time to Recover them, in case the deletion was a mistake, or you simply change your mind.)

An iPhone’s storage can never be increased. You must purchase a different iPhone to get more storage.

Or you may try to cleanse the storage you have. Be certain you never have less than 10% of your iPhone’s total storage free.

You can not increase the internal storage of an iPhone.
