FireWire

I have a MacBook Pro 2012 (I think) it has 2x USB ports 2x Thunderbolt 2 ports plus 1x HDMI

I have ‘found’ a Focusrite Audio Interface which only has FireWire ports. What options to connect to my Mac please?

No Firewire on the new iMac ? I need to connect my Apogy Maestro on the new iMac... but there is no FireWire ports on this new iMac... Is there an adaptator to get FireWire ?

USB-C to Firewire 800? I have an old (Late 2008) MacBook Pro with a Firewire 800 port and two USB-A ports. I recently purchased a third party USB-C external drive. I am using the USB-A ports already, so is it possible to adapt the USB-C drive to the Firewire 800 port on my MacBook Pro? Thank you for your help!

Use a FireWire to Thunderbolt adapter.

Thanks. I’ll source and price cables and adapters but FireWire seems old technology (as does T2 now that T3 is with us).
