incompatibility of Adobe Reader

My old Adobe Reader keeps stopping seconds after opening a pdf attachment. I just updated Safari to 13.1.2 and problem started. Which Adobe Reader product works with iOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Safari 13.1.2 ?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Click on the link that dialabrain provided to get the current Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Do not click on the Acrobat Pro trial button. You will be updated to version 20.009.20074.

The installation of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC no longer installs an Adobe PDF viewer plug-in for the browser, and only Apple's PDF plug-in is supported in Safari 13.1.2. If you still need to view the PDF in the Adobe product, then download the PDF, and then open it with Acrobat Reader DC.
