How to keep virtual keyboard hidden when the iPad Pro is using the Magic Keyboard?

I just got my new iPad Pro 11” and Magic Keyboard. When I type on the Magic Keyboard the virtual keyboard is always visible, which is annoying and should not happen. How do I keep it hidden when the iPad is connected to the Magic Keyboard?
