Looking to get High Sierra but App Store says the copy of the OS is damaged

The message below appears in the App Store. How can I get a good copy of the installer for High Sierra?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.12

Delete any copies of "Install macOS High Sierra" from the Applications folder and downloaad again while in Safe Mode.
