800 Call — Claiming to Be Apple Support
I just received a phone call—automated message stated my “iCloud has been breached” and to hit a key to contact Apple Support. Sounds like a scam to me. Whatayathink?

Definitely a scam. Apple doesn't make unsolicited phone calls. If there was a problem you would be notified when attempting to log in, including when logging into this forum. Also see: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204759
Also, the caller id number shown on scam and marketing calls is rarely the number actually originating the call. The number is usually spoofed.

Sounds to me like your instinct is right and that call was phishy. (See what I did there? LOL.) I think you have recognized and should avoid this phony call. I'd stay far away from it. If you really think there's an issue with the security of your Apple ID or that your account may have been compromised, you can contact apple, check your purchase history for odd charges, etc. But it sounds to me like all you need to do is ignore the call you got.

I've received 4 or 5 of these calls in the past couple days. All from a Seattle (206) area code. I finally pressed 1 to connect to someone and told them to stop calling me. No use blocking the # because it's slightly different each time.
