I have a 15 year old IMac Standalong with the old USB port which fits into my Sony DCR-TRV10 Handycam. I want an adapter to make the cable fit into my newer 5 year old iMac. Do they have a cable or adapter for this?

A 5 year old iMac should have the same type of USB port as the 15 year old iMac. So something is amiss.

Please provide the model year for each of your iMacs found in the Apple Menu->About this Mac.

Also are you certain the Handycam is using USB?

Could it be Firewire instead?

What does the connector for your handycam look like?
